Kathryn Foxhall

Kathryn Foxhall has been a reporter in Washington for over 40 years, including 14 years as the American Public Health Association’s newspaper’s editor. She became alarmed when federal workers were banned from communicating with journalists without the oversight of public relations offices. She is vice-chair of the Society of Professional Journalists’ freedom of information committee and was given SPJ’s 2021 highest award for a member, the 2021 Wells Key, for work opposing the gag rules.
