Frank LoMonte is a leading First Amendment attorney. In addition, he served ten years as executive director of the Student Press Law Center. In 2017 he became executive director of the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information at the University of Florida. While there, among other efforts, he authored the legal analysis saying the rules forcing oversight of employees’ contacts with reporters are unconstitutional. In February of this year, he joined CNN as counsel.
