Micheal McGee

Micheal McGee graduated with a master's degree in the counseling psychology program from Bowie State University (BSU). Micheal is attending Bowie State University's Educational Leadership doctoral program, focusing on higher education with a counseling track. As a leader, Micheal was the past Graduate Student Association President from 2020-2023. A former healthcare senior management professional, Micheal worked in the disability field for over 20 years, serving people from diverse populations with developmental or intellectual disability and mental health disorders. With a generous heart, Micheal passionately gives back to his community. He is a research member of the Healthy DC & Me Leadership Coalition, helping to spearhead the building of a level-two trauma center in Southeast Washington, DC. He also works with the Atikal Foundation, a nonprofit organization that celebrates survivors of domestic violence and cancer while bringing awareness to the mental health issues often precipitated by traumatic experiences.
